I did a few more lectures. We started to make a human head base mesh. Using a reference starting with a cube and adding some modifiers to create a basic shape.

Then it covered using a knife tool to cut new edges into the mesh, taking care make sure the polygons only had four sides (quads). This led to creating loops around the eyes.

Next up was using a rip command. By selecting some vertices you can pull the edge apart creating a hole in its place. We used this technique to create the hole for the mouth.
